How Ledgend Group handles your information.
Effective date: June 18, 2026 · Last updated: June 18, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Ledgend Group LLC (“Ledgend Group,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares personal information when you visit ledgendgroup.com (the “Site”), contact us, submit a form, or communicate with us — including by text message. By using the Site or providing your information to us, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Who we are
Ledgend Group is a boutique executive search firm placing senior talent across investment banking, private equity, asset management, and equity research. We work with hiring firms (“clients”) and professionals exploring opportunities (“candidates”).
2. Information we collect
We collect information you give us directly and a limited amount automatically.
Information you provide
- Contact details — name, email address, telephone or mobile number.
- Professional details — current firm, title, area of focus, preferred location, and the contents of any résumé or message you send us.
- Communications — the messages you exchange with us by web form, email, or text message.
Information collected automatically
- Basic technical and usage data such as IP address, browser type, and pages viewed, used to operate and secure the Site.
3. How we use information
- To provide executive search and recruiting services, including matching candidates with client searches.
- To respond to inquiries, schedule conversations, and provide updates about a search or candidacy.
- To send text messages you have asked to receive (see Section 5).
- To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
4. How we share information
We share personal information only as described below. We do not sell your personal information.
- As part of the search process — with the relevant client or candidate, with your knowledge, to advance a potential opportunity.
- Service providers — vendors who process information on our behalf to operate our business, such as our messaging platform (Dialpad), email delivery (Resend), and email newsletter provider (MailerLite). They may use the information only to provide services to us.
- Legal and safety — when required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Ledgend Group or others.
5. Text messaging (SMS)
Ledgend Group may send text (SMS) messages to candidates, clients, and others who provide a mobile number and consent to be contacted — for example, recruiting outreach, scheduling, and updates related to a search or candidacy. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any service.
- Consent / opt-in. By providing your mobile number and opting in, you agree to receive text messages from Ledgend Group at that number, including messages sent using an automated system. You can opt in by giving us your number and confirming you would like to be texted, or by texting us first.
- Message frequency. Message frequency varies based on your interactions with us.
- Cost. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
- Opt-out. You can cancel at any time by replying STOP to any message. After you send STOP, we will send a confirmation and will not send further messages unless you opt in again.
- Help. Reply HELP for help, or contact us at matt.stevens@ledgendgroup.com or (631) 561‑8917.
- Carriers. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
We do not share or sell your mobile phone number or your text-messaging opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile opt-in information is used only to deliver the messages described above. We may share such information with service providers strictly to help us send those messages (for example, our SMS platform), and as required by law — never for those third parties’ own marketing.
6. Data retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide our services, maintain candidate and client relationships, and meet legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.
7. Your choices and rights
You may request to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, opt out of marketing emails (via the unsubscribe link), or opt out of text messages (reply STOP). Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) or the EU/UK GDPR. To exercise any right, contact us using the details in Section 11.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Cookies and analytics
The Site uses only the cookies and similar technologies necessary to function and to understand basic usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
10. Children’s privacy
The Site and our services are intended for professionals and are not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
